Why Balance Matters
Work can bring a sense of purpose, pride, and community. But when it takes over, it can impact our relationships, physical health, and mental well-being. Balance isn't about splitting time perfectly—it's about feeling in control and aligned with your values.

Steps Towards Better Balance
1. Define Your Boundaries Decide what’s important to you. Is it having dinner with your family? Switching off your work phone after 6pm? Boundaries help protect your energy and time.
2. Learn to Say No It’s okay to turn down extra work or social obligations if they push you beyond your limits. Saying no is an act of self-respect.
3. Prioritise Self-Care Sleep, movement, healthy food, and quiet moments aren’t luxuries—they’re essentials. Making time for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.
4. Check in With Your Values If your work life and personal life are pulling you in different directions, it can help to reflect on what matters most to you. What do you want to prioritise right now?
5. Ask for Help If you're feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone. Whether it’s talking to a friend, your manager, or a counsellor, reaching out can make a huge difference.
